Strength and Conditioning Program


At Malvern High School our primary objective is to have the finest strength and conditioning program in the State of Arkansas.

Our primary objective is to help students reach their fullest potential. We feel the best way to accomplish this is through: 

  1. Consistency. We can't be jumping around into every new fad or trend that comes around. By being consistent our students will learn the skills necessary to reach new heights. 
  2. Enthusiasm. We believe in our program and we think our enthusiasm will be contagious among our students.
  3. Technique. Teach proper warm-up, stretching and lifting technique. The use of proper lifting form is essential in safely making progress. We ask our students to never sacrifice technique for weight.
  4. Mentality. Challenging our students to get out of "The Comfort Zone” and constantly strive to break personal records in all of our areas of testing. We don’t merely come to the weight room to lift weights; we come to the weight room to break records, personal records! A winning mentality is built up over a period of time. It’s not a case of being born with a good attitude and work ethic. It can grow inside you. You have to surround yourself with people that have accountability inside them. They want to win every single day. High standards have to be set.

The strength level of a student is not as important as his \ her effort to master proper techniques and improvement each individual shows. We are not body building nor are we strictly power lifting but rather we are training students to become better athletes. We are building for transfer from the weight room to the athletic field and teach students lifetime exercise techniques enabling them to remain healthy and maintain a proper fitness level for life.
